Department of Physics: Some seats are lying vacant for the admission in Post M. Sc. Course in Accelerator Physics for the session 2009-10. The 2nd Counselling for the admission for these seats will be held on 26.8.2009 at 10.00 a.m. in the Department of Physics, P.U. The interested candidates may attend the counseling along with completed application form on the said date.
Department of Economics: Counselling for General and all reserved categories for admission to M.A. (Economics) Part-I for the enhanced seats will be held on 26th August 2009 at 10.00 a.m. in the Department of Economics, Arts Block No.3, P.U. Campus.
Centre for Emerging Areas in Social Sciences: The Centre for Emerging Areas in Social Sciences invites fresh applications, duly completed in all respects for admission to M.A. in Police Administration (1st Semester), M.A. in Human Rights & Duties (1st Semester) and Masters in Social Work (1st Semester) for the session 2009-10 so as to reach in the Centre's Office in Room No.201, Aruna Ranjit Chandra Hall, P.U. latest by 25th August 2009 to fill up the vacant seats with prior approval of the Vice-Chancellor with a late fee of Rs.1300/-. Those candidates who applied earlier as well as late applicants need not apply again. The interview for all the applicants would be held on 26th August 2009 for all the courses from 11.00 a.m. onwards in the Centre's Office. University School of Open Learning (formerly known as Dept. of Correspondence Studies): First counselling for 800 seats for B. Ed. 2 Year Correspondence Course for in-service teachers was held from 19th August 2009 to 21st August 2009. Out of 800 seats 710 seats have been filled. The students were given study material on the spot.
90 seats belonging to the various reserve categories remained unfilled and these have been converted into general category. The counselling for filling up these converted seats will be held on 26th August 2009 (Wednesday) as per the following schedule:-
8.30 a.m. Call for shifting of study centers (already admitted students)
12.30 a.m. Call for admission to 90 seats converted into general category. (for alleligible candidates)
